More and more people are now eliminating the clutter of furniture in bedrooms, wanting more open space for living. The ideal solution is to find adequate storage spaces for those things normally kept in dressers, in an area other than the bedroom.
One way to handle the elimination of bedroom furniture is to make your current closet more space efficient by incorporating drawers into it. Enclosed drawers or wire drawer systems will easily take the place of a bedroom dresser. Wire drawers allow you open ventilated storage as well as the ability to see what is in each drawer at one glance.
Other storage solutions may be to design drawers for the unused space under your bed. With wheels on the drawers, they will pull out with ease. Storage shelves in your closet will certainly improve your storage situation. Buying or building a bed with a usable headboard area is another way to eliminate excess furniture. Window seats are also a great concealed storage space.
Consider all aspects of your storage spaces when deciding to eliminate furniture. Also, consider the comfort you will gain from all the extra space now in your master bedroom, a great new place for some chairs, and a quiet place to unwind. Enjoy!!!
