Hats are a very popular and unique item to collect, therefore it is important to display them in a correct manner. If you wear hats frequently, it is important that you always have easy access to them.
Hats can be stored on a shallow shelf mounted onto your wall. A shelf 8” deep would be ideal. Shelves should be high enough on the wall so that you can easily walk by the area. As with any collection or hobby that is important to you, you should display it in an organized fashion. Hats do not have to be thrown in a closet.
Hats can be hung on hooks scattered over a wall, but then only the top of the hat will be visible. Baseball hats and visors can be hung by a string attached to a hook from the ceiling. You can store about twenty hats in only two feet of space. All hats are easily visible and this looks great. To remove a hat, unsnap the back clips and replace it the same way when you are done with it. Another idea is to design specially enclosed storage areas for your collection. A solid adjustable shelf unit can be designed to store your hat collection in a neat manner.
Hats that are often worn should have their own space in your foyer or mud closet. Hooks or shelves can be placed into your closet for this purpose. Be creative in designing new storage spaces for your hats or hobbies.
